I know that there are a lot of people out there (on the internet, mostly) who claim to have all the answers and “quick fixes” when it comes to learning how to sing well. And some of them have some good things to say, but many more are just looking to capitalize on hopeful singers just starting out, just like yourself.
Even the ones that do offer good information in their online singing courses just can’t provide the personalized guidance and support that each singer needs. Just like each voice is unique, each approach to learning should be tailored to that specific voice.

Like it or not, you are going to make mistakes. And because you are just starting out, having a more experienced person there to help you identify and correct those mistakes is essential to sustainable growth in your craft.

Like I mentioned earlier – there is a lot of not-great information out there, especially on the internet. That’s one of the reasons I started this blog, to offer a more realistic, balanced point of view in contrast to a lot of what is out there.
Don’t get me wrong – there are some great resources out there. However, it can be difficult for a beginner to discern what is good and what is bad. I say this all the time – if you want to be a professional singer, you need to know at least the basics of music theory. There are lots of good resources out there for music theory; you would be hard-pressed to find a bad music theory class.
